Dipsite Alumni Club organized its first ever reunion for the ex-students of 06, 07 & 08 batches on 26 Oct. 2008. The evening saw a coming together of ex-students amidst a lot of fun and frolic. The colourful everyone of DPS Meerut beckoned its old students and teachers, who came from far and wide, to a musical extravaganza.

MESSAGE FROM PRO-VICE CHAIRPERSON'S DESK

Dear students,

I’m immensely glad to see you all once again here with your teachers and friends. It reminds me of those days of success when you got through the final examinations with flying colours. May all dreams of you & your parents come true. Here I must appreciate the able guidance of the Principal Mrs. Meenu Kanwar to show the glimpses of the dreams ahead of you. I understand that it is very difficult to achieve success than merely taking of it. It is you, after all, the ones who have done it and will do. We promise to produce students of quality only on the basis of one’s understanding the essence of hard labour, show your talents and potentials and shine the name of your school, your Principal, teachers & names of your parents.

We could not help ourselves but to call you back & feel the pleasure of your success & to have reminiscence of your days in the school. I hope all of you would share your feelings with each other through these get togethers. So, once again I invite all of you to the Alumnae Club of Delhi Public School Meerut.

Thank you,

Mrs. Shashi Singh
Pro-Vice Chairperson

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK

“Don't be dismayed at goodbyes.
A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends."

Hey people

As we prepare for the second Annual DPS Re-union, I traverse down the memory track and am filled with nostalgia. Its true that though we have moved on , the "DPS Experience" still resonates through and leaves its mark in our daily lives. Our education and grooming at DPS has inculcated in us a never-say-die spirit and laid a foundation for future success in all our endeavors. Together, we have not only matured in years but also in our overall personality.
From a humble beginning, The DPS Alumni Club has grown to over 200 members in not more than 2 years and with your support will hopefully continue to grow in numbers and spirit too. This club remains grateful to and would not have turned from concept to reality without the guidance and blessings of our Principal, Mrs. Meenu Kanwar, the support of Mr M.P Singh, Chairman, DPS Meerut and Mrs. Shashi Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson DPS Meerut and above all the involvement and interest of our members.
I would also like to extend a personal thanks to the former president of DAC and a member of the founder committee ,Achal Manglik whose efforts have been instrumental in setting up this platform. We have taken the first baby steps that will empower the future alumni of our school to follow our lead.
The dream may have turned into reality but the vision continues unabated. Looking forward to seeing you all on October 18,2009!
Regards
SAMRIDDHI KHATRI
PRESIDENT,DAC

MESSAGE FROM EX-PRESIDENT

Hi People!
When the idea of Alumnae Club blossomed in my mind, I didn't even know whether it would actually come through or not …but today with a strength of 128 (and more joining in each day) I can safely say that we have ARRIVED...DPS Alumnae Club has seen the light of day only due to the unstinting support and guidance from our Principal Mrs. Meenu Kanwar , who wishes us well in all our endeavours.
Hold high the torch and keep it burning – is the lesson we learnt from our alma mater. We salute the DPS ethos that made us what we are today. We were taught, not to follow the beaten track, but to be trailblazers on our chosen path. And sure enough from Sydenham to Symbiosis and J.P. to Amity, we are leaving our IMPRINTS everywhere.
DPS Alumnae Club is our humble effort to reunite friends, classmates, teachers and ex-teachers. We remain indebted to our alma mater for giving us a platform to carve our own niche. And in turn each of us contributed in our own way to this illustrious institution.
Three years down the road since the first batch of Dipsites Meerut stepped out from the dominions of the school, its high time to re-unite, re-live and rejuvenate those memories once more…..
Looking forward to seeing you all on October 26th. 2008.

Achal Manglik

Ex-President-DAC(2007-09)

DIPSITES' FERVOUR COMES ALIVE IN DAC ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2008

FIRST ANNUAL ALUMNI SPORTS MEET
-Samriddhi Khatri, Mandeep singh ...........................................

Saturday, July 12, 2008
The first annual sports meet of the dipsite alumni club (DAC) was truly a memorable experience. Members from all the three batches (i.e. 2005-’06, 2006-’07, 2007-’08) actively participated in the event. The teacher co-ordinators for the whole event were Mr. Paritosh Kr. Roopak, Ms. Anita Garg, Ms. Reeta Jha without whose kind cooperation this event wont have been successful. The programme commenced with a warm welcome speech by the president, Achal Manglik followed a floral welcome by Secretary, Mandeep Singh to the Principal, Mrs. Meenu Kanwar and Headmistress, Dr. Ritu Dewan.
Soon after this, a basketball match was organized consisting of two teams viz. “Black panthers” consisting of members from batch 2007-’08 headed by Sudhakar Chaudhary and “white tigers” consisting of members from batches 2005-’06 and 2006-‘07 headed by Siddharth Rastogi. The match was judged by Mr. Rakesh, Mr. Anil, Mr. Vivek and Ms. Richa. In the beginning it was a neck to neck competition with scores being 2-2 but soon the black panthers took a lead in the second half and won the match with the scores being 26-5.The audience too were very enthusiastic and cheered for their teams, along with our commentators Naman Garg, Rajat Tiwari, Vasu Pathak adding flavor with their comments.
The presentation ceremony began soon after the match got over. The principal and Headmistress were invited on the stage to present mementos and certificates to both the teams. Now the much awaited moment arrived, it was now time to lift the trophy of the first annual sports meet and finally the black panthers were declared winners for the day.
The Principal then inaugurated the blog (http://www.dpsmeerut.blogspot.com/) and informed the gathering about the mega event, GRAND DINNER to be held on 26Th October,’08 by displaying the banner gifted by the president and the secretary of the club.
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by the secretary and a short speech by the president.
Now it was time for some more fun. A tug-of-war game was organized. All the members from batches 2005-’06 and 2006’07 gathered as one team and those of batch 2007-’08 as the other. It was a tough competition between the two teams and finally the senior batch team won. In the end all the members and staff enjoyed the refreshments. Every face carried a smile, a joy of being back to school and seemed quite excited about the grand event that shall make DAC a shining example of the dipsite determination to rule the world.
